7x 50W rms output and it creates a tidal wave of multichannel surround sound. On the video side, the four HDMI 1.4a inputs all support 3D video, while all analogue video signals are
converted to HDMI level including I/P
conversion. The set-up is easy - with the help of Audyssey MultEQ and Microphone - no need to study the
manual, just follow the on-screen menu instructions. And, just like its bigger brothers, the NR1601 has an
iPod-digital-compatible USB input, as well as an M-DAX2 to make the very most of sound
quality from compressed audio. It all adds up to easy to use slim-line elegance
with a powerful punch.

The unit is equipped with a power amplifier that plays back

channels, true to the original sound. The power amplifier circuit adopts a

Supports HDMI 1.4a with
3D, ARC, Deep Color, x.v.Color , Auto Lipsync and HDMI control function
This unit can output 3D video signals input from a Blu-ray
Disc player to a TV that supports a 3D system. This unit also supports the ARC
(Audio Return Channel) function, which plays back TV sound with this unit via
an HDMI cable used for connecting the unit and a TV*.

The unit is provided with a Dolby Pro Logic IIz decoder. When you play back the sound in Dolby Pro Logic IIz playback with front height speakers connected to the unit,
you can enjoy playback sound with rich spatial expression.
Easy to use, On-Screen
Display
Simple settings are enabled with the setting menus displayed
on the TV screen. When you control the sound volume, the volume level is
displayed on the screen, and when you switch the input source, the name of the
input source is displayed.
Auto setup function
The unit is provided with an Auto setup function which
automatically makes speaker settings best suited for the listening environment.
The sound from the speakers is picked up with the supplied microphone. Reflecting
sound and audio characteristics of speakers are measured, and settings for an
optimum sound field are automatically made.

types of source video signals to HDMI signals
This unit is provided with functions for automatic
conversion of various video signals (component video, video) that are input to
this unit into HDMI signals for output to a monitor, allowing connection
between this unit and a TV to be made with a single HDMI cable.

Music data from an iPod can be played back if you connect
the USB cable supplied with the iPod via the USB port of this unit, and also an
iPod can be controlled with the remote control unit for this unit.

This unit is equipped with the M-Xport, a Marantz original
innovation that provides outstanding expandability. You can connect the
Wireless Receiver RX101 (sold separately) to this port.
Speaker terminal for
front height channel
The unit is equipped with dedicated front height channel
speaker terminals on the rear panel. You can enjoy 7.1-channel playback using
the front height channel and 7.1-channel playback using the surround back
channel, without having to reconnect the speakers.
